Company Profile
Steeline Geelong History
JH Stephenson and Son truly is a family business not only employing sons but wives and daughter-in-laws too.
In 1923 Joseph Hamsterley Stephenson and his father built a small shed beside the family home to manufacture plumbing supplies. Over the years, that shed became a thriving business manufacturing and supplying a huge range of building products.
Now located in Victoria Street, North Geelong, JH Stephenson and Son have survived a World War and the Great Depression with Stephenson even selling chickens to pay for his machines.
To this day JH Stephenson and Son is a family run business and is proudly in the care of Joan Stephenson and her sons Bill and Greg. Bills wife Karen joined the business in 1972 and now a fifth generation has joined the company with Harvey, Ben, Andrew and David.
